Use a soft measuring tape. Stand naturally and keep the tape level and comfortably close, without pulling it tight.
Waist
At your natural waistline
Measure around your natural waist, usually the narrowest part of your torso. Breathe normally rather than holding your stomach in.
Hips
Around the fullest point
With your feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. Check that the tape stays level at the back.
